THE BAY TARGET CHALLENGE (Click to view photographs)

The developers of The Bay Golf Estate, Ivora Properties, have conceptualised a fun competition at the Bay Golf Estate known as THE BAY TARGET CHALLENGE. Basically, this is a shortish par 3 hole, measuring about 150m, which has been mocked up close to the sales office. Potential and existing clients are invited to have a go at getting the first hole-in-one on this hole and win R100 000 in cash.

The following needs to be noted:

The hole is NOT planned for the final golf course and has really been set up as a mock-up to create the illusion of golf – this is no reflection of planned architecture or design.

It is all about fun and the chance of scoring the “perfect fluke” – all are welcome, golfers and non golfers, ladies, men and children alike.

An opinion has been requested from the South African Golf Association (SAGA), and although the hole does not form part of an existing golf course or a round of golf, they have issued an opinion that winning this prize WILL mean that the winner would need to give up their amateur status under rule Rule 3-2 of the Rules of Amateur Status.

It’s a bit of fun for those people interested in having a look at the investment opportunities at The Bay – and it could just turn into the quickest return on investment they ever make!

Buyers at The Bay Golf Estate will receive five free tokens per stand which they may allocate and use as they wish. People who have not YET invested in the Estate will need to go through a presentation on the development from an agent, as well as pay R20 per attempt in order to participate, limited to a maximum of three attempts per day. These funds will be donated to The Bay Golf Estate Green Trust, which will be formed to fund eco-based projects such as solar power, biological compost plants, Harties Metsi-a-me initiatives and so forth.

In terms of the insurance conditions, a register of all participants needs to be maintained, and each and every attempt will need to be videotaped as well.
